Seriously though, this is one of the most amazing movies I’ve watched in my life. It’s heavily atmospheric, really well acted, and the visuals are unforgettable. It manages to turn the hopeful glow of the Sun into a mortal threat of annihilation. It’s incredible how that which gives us life can also take it away from us.

It was very kind of Princess Celestia to drop by. Her powers helped quite a lot with the latest flood I suffered last week.

And now, if you excuse me, I need to go lay down for a couple of days. So much power has spent me beyond all repair.

Seriously though, horror surely has a knack for putting teenagers in cabins in the middle of a forest. I will say this though, after watching so many horror movies I get what this one in particular is going for. It lampoons horror cliches and tropes, with a rather funny approach but without cutting on the gore and the creative creature designs.

Also, ignore what this movie shows about unicorns. We are not that violent…Most of the time anyways.

I had a few minor roles in movies when I was still a professional comedian. WCP 3707 and joining the Night Guard put an end to that career. Movie Slate does me a favor and keeps those movies to ‘private screenings’ so those in Ponyville don’t recognize me from the screen. Seriously though, this movie was…bizarre. I mean granted, it’s really unique with its combination of sci-fi, horror, musical, comedy, romance genres, and the acting is pretty good, and the special effects are so well done you forget that Audrey 2 is not really alive. But it ranks up into one of the strangest movies I have ever seen in my life. I guess that, because it’s so memorable, it’s pretty good, but I will be humming these songs forever.

And now, if you excuse me, I will start taking care of my teeth even more than usual. Anything to avoid going to the dentist.

Seriously though, this movie is quite a rare example of an action movie that doesn’t pull any punches. If you are tired of every one of those annoying action cliches (the buddy who betrays the protagonist, the endless agreements, the government getting in the way, the useless female characters) watch this movie and get a refreshment.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a blockbuster or low budget.

It doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad.

It doesn’t matter who’s in it.

If you have a passion and love for the movie or movies you decide to watch, then you will be carrying that spirit, that love for film that Roger Ebert had and that he left in every one of us. He loved movies. As a fellow movie lover and reviewer, that meant a lot to me.

I will be celebrating his memory with two of his favorite movies, one of which is also mine.

Has it really been a year since my journey in tumblr started!? It surely doesn’t feel like it! So many movies, so many nice people donating me even more every day, and my pile of donations just keeps growing bigger!

First day my cinema finally gets opened after it got flooded, and who’s the first pony to get in? Why is none other but Lyra!

She comes so often that I don’t charge her anymore. She alone kept my cinema going for an entire week during which I only had like two terrible movies, and she insisted in keep watching them. She’s a sweetheart, don’t get me wrong. I invite her to my projection booth, and she is a lot of fun to hang out with.

But boy, is she obsessed.

Seriously though, I am never inviting Stormfront to my cinema ever again.

Don’t get me wrong, the girl is a lot of fun to hang out with, but there are some set backs that make her visits quite a problem, especially when the movie we are watching has too much to do with her line of work. It’s not her fault, but look at my cinema! It’s going to take me a week to fix all the damage.

At least my movies didn’t get wet. I can’t say the same for poor Cotton Bucket’s supply of candy. And our new fridge broke too, what are we going to do with all the ice cream?

As for the movie, it wasn’t too bad. It starts really slow, but once you get into the storm it’s actually a lot of fun to watch. Very melodramatic towards the end though, to the point of unintentional comedy. The special effects are very well done, I’ll give it that, so if you like water and storms, check this movie out.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to steer us to the phone so the fireponies can come and drain all the water out. The insurance company is not going to believe this.

I had this lovely mare called Wild Fire visit my cinema to watch a movie, and then things got weird. Like, beyond weird.

Seriously though, I guess this movie represents quite well what it is the whole issue with drug addiction, from those who suffer it to the families, the drug dealers, and so and so forth. For all I know, nothing like this exists in Equestria and I am glad for it. Besides that, the movie is really interesting and has a lot of memorable moments (some of them positively disgusting if you ask me). I still give it a recommendation, because underneath its grunchy looks lies a very clear message: Drugs are bad, like, very bad.

And now, if you excuse me, I have to find the parents of this little colt. How can they leave their son unattended like this?

This shouldn’t be considered a movie.

I don’t know in which city, country, continent, planet, alternate universe or paralel dimension can this…thing, be considered a movie. I think I found the equivalent of an anti-movie. I’m afraid to keep it close to other movies as it might devour them like a black-hole of anti-cinematic-matter.

I apparently have a new talent. A hidden talent. A talent mercifully absent from my cutie mark. A talent for walking in on ponies when they really, reaaaaaly don’t want to be walked in on. Seriously. It has to happen every other week or so. I don’t PLAN this stuff!

I had heard through the grapevine that Cashmere had torn off down the countryside to look for me when I’d gone missing up north, retracing the steps I’d taken since last he saw me. He’d mentioned to my mother that he owed me as much, as I’d done the same for him in similar circumstances. Its pretty sweet really, I was happy to hear it, though I still feel pretty bad about the whole thing.

Cirocco had been coordinating with him and sent him a letter after I left her in Vanhoover telling him to stick around Ponyville until I showed up, so apparently he’s been kicking around here for a while waiting for me. I caught up to him in Movie Slate’s movie theater during a private screening.

I uh…apparently misinterpreted the sign on the door.

I gave them a chance to finish their movie up (it was almost over anyway) and we spent the rest of the evening catching up with each other. It was good to see him all healed up, if a little…deja-vuish. In my mind, I’d seen him at the Canterlot summer celebration not too long ago. Its a memory that never happened, which makes it all the more peculiar, as its a memory that Malachite shares with me. She knew him before she knew him, which boggled his chrome-eyed head for a little bit. First time I’ve actually gotten to use my three week hallucination as a source of comedy.

Well, uhm, this is so embarassing. You see, this very nice fellow named Cashmere dropped by to watch a movie with me, and then one thing led to another. I’m not usually this open, but he was such a good guy, and I have been looking for some private time of my own too. One can only run a cinema before she gets a bit anxious for certain…~needs~

And after all, Hearts and Hooves day is almost around the corner! I guess it wasn’t a bad idea to share some crazy love with somepony once in a while, right?

Seriously though, this movie is…unbelievable. It can’t fit in any scale. If I was to follow the basic standards in which one judges a movie, then this is probably the worst movie I have ever watched in my whole life.

The acting is awful.

The story is awful.

The editing, the cinematography, the music, the special effects, are awful.

But they are all so awful, so bad, so catastrophic, that it’s hilarious. It’s an awful, bad, catastrophic, terribly hilarious movie. If you need an excuse to laugh yourself silly, don’t take a second guess and watch this one.

Now, if you excuse me, I have to kick these birds out of my cinema.
